About the project
Custom, B2B, nationwide e-commerce platform, built from scratch for an established Polish company. The solution overcomes the company’s existing product performance and usability limitations by incorporating new features and integrations relevant to the modern marketplace.
The system has been in production for many years, currently undergoing regular and steady increases of traffic, on the level of a couple millions orders per year.
The engineering team works closely with the business and has an impact on the product development roadmap and both, visual and technical design of the solution. Team communication takes place in English.
The solution’s technology stack: Ruby on Rails, RSpec, React, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Sidekiq, Redis, AWS, Datadog, Kubernetes (EKS), GitHub Actions, Terraform, Cypress.
What you'll do
As a Ruby Developer, you will be responsible for the development of the back-end services of the system. You will be joining a cross-functional team of very experienced engineers, who believe in making great products and have all the technical skills to make it happen. You will be working with a senior team member who will oversee your work and provide necessary training.

Job requirements
What we need from you
2+ years of professional experience with recent Ruby versions
Good knowledge of Ruby on Rails, preferably with recent versions
Ability to write code that contributes to correct, scalable, reliable, and performant systems
Good knowledge of automated tests and writing testable code
Ability to think critically about own and others’ solutions
Experience with Scrum / Agile environment
Be open and willing to learn from mistakes
Be open to feedback from more experienced peers
Proactive approach - suggesting, researching and finding solutions to the problems
Creativity & attention to detail - always looking for an opportunity to make things better
Good command of English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
Experience with NoSQL data stores or message brokers (e.g. MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Kafka, SQS, etc.)
Experience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP)
Interest or exposure to infrastructure, cloud or DevOps
Interest or exposure to DDD
